Tips For Your Field Trip
Policies & Safety
A Few Simple Rules….
Please no pets, smoking or alcohol allowed on the farm
Accessibility:
There are some unpaved and uneven surfaced paths. Strollers and wagons can be brought on premises but the ground (like any farm) can be bumpy in spots
Restrooms:
There are restrooms on site.
Food and Beverages:
Your classes are welcomed to bring their lunches. We suggest teachers bring large blankets or beach towels to enjoy an old fashion picnic in the grass. You may also use our picnic tables if they are available at the time your students are ready for lunch. Students have to supply their own lunches.
Weather:
Prior to your field trip arrival, please check the weather forecast and have students dress appropriately. Because Spring/Fall weather can vary day to day, please encourage children to dress in layers and wear sensible closed-toe walking shoes. We are on a working farm and things can get muddy. In case of inclement weather, please call Farmer Stan at 443-375-2550 to discuss a plan. We can do field trips rain or shine (depending upon the class size) if you choose to come when it’s raining they can be held in the barn.
Smoking is not allowed on the farm
